a. Medical degree program: the Medical College of Shantou University has recently developed a five-year medical degree(MBBS) program specially tailored to international students. The program is conducted in English and taught by qualified basic science and clinical faculties, with the established international textbooks and publications as references. a. Registration fee: RMB400; free of charge for MBBS students
b. Tuition Fee: Arts and Postgraduate programs - RMB 22,000/year
other programs - RMB15,000 /year
c. Accommodation: RMB1,200/month
d. Room Deposit: RMB 800 (An apartment has three bedrooms, each student has his/her own bedroom), except for MBBS.
f. Deposit for MBBS: Students should make a deposit of RMB10,000 for incidental charges in the dormitory, library, and textbook order, etc. Unused portion will be returned upon departure/graduation.
Students will be responsible for their own medical costs and requirements, along with their meals, electricity, water, textbooks, and any other additional expenses incurred.

Applications are due by the end of April for the bachelor programs, and by the end of June for the MBBS program, all of which begin every September.
For the Chinese language training program, applications are due by the end of July and the end of December for the following respective semester.
