On March 24, Shantou University Business School received an official congratulatory letter from the Business Graduates Association (BGA, one of the three major certification systems of global business education) to congratulate Shantou University Business School on officially passing the BGA gold certification. This is another breakthrough in international certification after the business school obtained the EPAS international certification in 2017.

From 2022 to January 2023, a BGA international certification expert group composed of Ms. Leila Guerra, deputy dean of the Imperial College Business School, Professor Hong Yongmiao, dean of the School of Economics and Management of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Luis Vives, deputy dean of Essad Business School in Spain, Professor Wang Chongming, director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center of Zhejiang University of China, AMBA & BGA China International Consultant, and Mr. George Iliev, director of AMBA & BGA Certification in the United Kingdom conducted multiple rounds of inspections and evaluations of Shantou University Business School.

Professor Hao Zhifeng, the President of Shantou University, Dr. Zou Zhibo, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Liang Qiang, the dean and Associate Professor Long Yue'e, Associate Professor Guo Gongxing, the vice deans of STU Business School, and other relevant personnel participated in the relevant identification and evaluation of certification.

At the symposium, President Hao Zhifeng held in-depth talks with the BGA expert group. President Hao expressed his gratitude to the AMBA & BGA organization for its contribution in promoting the improvement of the quality of global business education and international cooperation, and introduced the basic information of Shantou University and the school's development plan for the next five years to the expert group. He pointed out that Shantou University attaches great importance to the BGA certification of Business School and strongly supports all aspects of the construction and development of Business school. In recent years, as a practitioner of business education, Business School has continuously carried out reforms and innovations in discipline development, talent training, international exchanges, etc., and has achieved remarkable results in coordinating with the government, enterprises and serving the sustainable development of the local economy.
