The University of Sassari was founded in 1617, which was a public university with a long tradition. The University offers a variety of three-year bachelor's courses, master's courses, refresher courses, professional research and doctoral courses, with 11 departments. 

The Medical College signed a Joint Student Training Agreement with The University of Sassari in 2016.
