Established in 1991, Penghu Campus of National GaoXiong Marine Junior College is the predecessor of National Penghu University of Science and Technology that formally comes off and shifts into National Penghu Marine Junior College in 1995. Our goal is to culture all kinds of talents and experts in the fields of marine fishery, tourism and leisure, technology, and management for our country, offering not only local opportunities of personnel training which can reduce education divide between Penghu County and Island of Taiwan but also direct contributions in promoting regional industrial development, economic and cultural growth.

The university signed partnership cooperation agreement with STU in 2014.
